Concrete Polish
The Floor System for Today and Tomorrow

SEE HOW GREEN
Introduced into the United States in the late 1990’s, concrete polishing is one of the fastest growing floor systems on the market today. It is simple, cost effective, environmentally friendly, and aesthetically pleasing. It has a place in both new construction and in the restoration of old worn out and often epoxy coated floors. It’s equally effective in public spaces, retail, restaurants, office buildings, industrial spaces, and warehouse and distribution facilities. It can be customized to fit the user’s vision and when properly maintained will last as long as the building itself.

Concrete polishing uses a series of diamond impregnated cutting blades and polishing pads to remove imperfections, coatings, and any contaminants from the floor. It leaves behind a customizable, harder, and less porous surface. We work with you to choose a finish from matte to a highly reflective “mirror-like” shine.

Concrete polishing is quickly expanding into all segments of new construction. It is a beautiful alternative to traditional floor systems such as coatings, tile, laminate, carpet and VCT tile. Our experienced professionals can help bring out the natural, unique characteristics of your floor. Polished concrete is highly customizable and can be installed quickly.

New Construction Floor Polishing

Concrete polishing is quickly expanding into all segments of new construction. It is a beautiful and highly customizable alternative to traditional floor systems. Typical applications include:
  • Retailers
  • Restaurants
  • Public Buildings
  • Industrial Buildings
  • Warehouse and Distribution Centers
  • Entertainment Complexes
  • Hospitals
  • Medical Buildings
  • Schools and Universities
  • Office Buildings
  • Condominiums and Luxury Apartments
  • Showrooms
Every concrete floor has a natural character all its own. Our experienced professionals can help bring out the beauty in your floor and help you customize the floor to realize your unique vision. Floors are poured with a thin layer off concrete above the aggregate used in the mix. This allows us to offer finish alternatives from a consistently uniform floor with no aggregate exposed to high exposed aggregate similar in appearance to granite or terrazzo. We can vary the level of shine from a matte finish to a highly reflective “mirror-like” shine. We can stain and color the floor to match any decor. Finally, concrete polishing is a dry process. This eliminates down-time and provides access to the floor by other contractors during construction.

Concrete Polishing has proven itself to be one of the most versatile floor systems in new construction for today and for tomorrow.

Concrete polishing is a fast, dry, low downtime floor system. It can effectively remove old floor coatings, sealers, and tile, while replacing them with a lower maintenance, long lasting and tougher floor. It reduces both short and long term expenses.

Concrete Floor Restoration

Concrete polishing has its roots as a floor restoration process. It is a fast, dry, low downtime floor system. It can effectively remove old floor coatings, sealers, and tiles of all types, while replacing them with a lower maintenance, longer lasting and tougher floor surface. Polishing is effective regardless of the age of the floor, and can remove surface stains and other imperfections.

Concrete polishing reduces both short-term and long-term expenses. Polished floors are easier to clean and maintain, and last an average of 20 years. Periodic re-polishing can be done to restore the original shine and at a fraction of the original cost.

Traditionally porous and unpolished floors have been coated, sealed, or covered to reduce maintenance costs and help stop the absorption of contaminants. The problem with these methods is that they create as many problems as they solve. All of these methods chip, crack, peel, wear or fade. They need to be frequently stripped off and replaced, often at the same cost as the original installation.

Concrete polishing is dry and produces no significant levels of air-borne contaminants or fumes. Polishing can take place during normal operations, if needed, and can be put back in service immediately. Traditional floor systems take longer to install, generate fumes, and need up to 24 additional hours of dry time before putting the floor back in service.

Concrete polishing is truly the floor restoration system for today and for tomorrow.
